Minutes
- Motion to begin: Isabelle, 2nd Maddi
- Marisa proposed the vote for the Community Council Chair and Vice-Chair.
- Allison Fluckiger was nominated as the Community Council Chair, and Isabelle Obray was nominated as the Vice-Chair
- All members voted in the affirmative.
- Marisa let the council know that Mount Logan Middle School is looking for volunteers for their community council
- The Council discussed our school's idea for a fundraiser this year.
- Marisa brought up the idea to stop using Cache Valley Direct books as our fundraiser and suggested doing a general fundraiser instead.
- Families can donate any amount that they are comfortable with
- Have a fun theme to get kids excited
- Big thermometer for the whole school to show how much we have raised
- Different incentives for each level of the thermometer that we reach
- All members liked this idea and brought up suggestions of ways to make it fun and effective.
- Marisa brought up the idea to stop using Cache Valley Direct books as our fundraiser and suggested doing a general fundraiser instead.
- The Council then discussed our BOY Acadience Reading scores.
- The scores are lower than previous BOY scores.
- However, we also tested earlier than usual to get data for WIN time interventions
- Marisa and Maddi discussed what our school-wide WIN interventions are and how they are going so far.
- Marisa then informed everyone about the important upcoming dates and informed us about what will be discussed at our next meeting.
- Motion to adjourn: Josephine, 2nd: Mark
