Members Present: Marisa Oviatt, Mark Lyman, Josephine Lyman, IsaBelle Obray, Allison Fluckiger, Maddi Roos, & Annette Farley (not a member)

Motion to start: Allison Fluckiger

• Mark — Calendar Committee, share the draft proposal

  • Main goals when making the calendar: 

    • 2 week Winter break

    • Fall Break aligns with Cache School District

    • Out of school before Memorial Day

  • Ideas for PD Days:

    • Monday after Winter Break

    • Last school day May 27th, teacher PD day May 28th

• Marisa informed the council that the District is creating an informational pamphlet, and wants a survey from parents who are in the Community Council so she shared the QR code to that survey

• Discuss School Safety, Digital Citizenship Reports, and the Positive Behavior Plan (as needed)

  • Annette opened it up for questions/comments

    • Everyone said that the new pick-up system has been working well

    • Some people mentioned that they have seen a few parents double-park, so the plan is to have teachers let Annette know who is double-parking, and then she will reach out to them individually

    • An inspector came and said that Adams didn’t have anything that needed to be fixed

    • Parents liked getting notifications before the safety drill so that they could speak with their child about it if needed

    • There was a suggestion to make the sign saying where to push the button to come into the school bigger/more visible

• Marisa shared the slides that she will present at the Board Meeting tomorrow

  • Celebrations:

    • Fundraiser: made more money than when we did the Cache Valley Direct fundraiser

    • Student Leadership Team

    • Family Literacy Night and Book Fair

      • Huge turnout!

      • Donations for all students to pick something from the Book Fair 

    • Glimmers

• A parent asked about how the behavior has been this year. 

  • Shift to teaching missing skills

  • We ask ourselves: What is their behavior communicating?
