Teacher of the Year Selection Process

Process:  The Logan City School District is pleased to present the selection process for the Teacher of the Year.  One Teacher of the Year from each elementary school, and two Teachers of the Year from each middle and high school will be selected during the 2017-2018 school year.  In May 2018, a District Teacher of the Year will be selected from all school recipients. The Logan City School District Teacher of the Year will then be submitted for consideration as the Utah Teacher of the Year.

Students, former students, parents, colleagues, administrators, or members of the general public may nominate teachers.  Nomination forms may be submitted via Survey Monkey by clicking on the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/D7Q9NRD, electronically to Stacey Hunter (stacey.hunter@loganschools.org), or a hard copy of the nomination form may be submitted to the nominee’s principal by the nomination deadline.  Nominees who meet established  screening criteria will be evaluated by each school using the District’s Teacher of the Year evaluation rubric.

Selection Timeline:  Nominations for Teacher of the Year will open on January 3, 2018 and close on February 1, 2018.  All recipients chosen at the school level are due to Stacey Hunter on February 16, 2018.  All school Teacher of the Year recipients will be honored at the School Board of Education meeting on February 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
