A few things that we need help with include: make certificates for fastest runners, help at the water and raffle table, stand on one of the 4 corners while students are running, make signs of encouragement to post along the running perimeter for both on the fence and on stakes in the ground, volunteering to stand on a corner just before or after your child runs would be a great way to help out and still watch your child.

Every year, the Huntsman Awards Committee encourages students, classroom parents, colleagues and supervisors to nominate the state’s most talented public school teachers, administrators, volunteers and special education teachers for the Huntsman Education Awards. By celebrating these superheroes of Utah’s public schools, the awards seek to inspire current educators and to rekindle interest in the teaching profession among young people.
FLIGHT OF THE OWLS
Friday February 22, 2019
Flight of the Owls is a celebration for students who have earned at least 100 total AR points. We are encouraging students to read 20 minutes per night so that they can meet their goal. The students will be playing with slime and other fun things during their celebration.
Work with your child to reach this fun goal. Make reading fun by reading with them, having them read to you or reading as a family. Make reading a priority in your home. We would love for all students to reach this goal!
WE ARE HAVING A VALENTINE’S TEA
The Valentine's Tea will be in the cafeteria. Students are encouraged to dress nicely for this fun experience. They will be eating a treat and drink provided by the PTA with their grade.
Talk to your students about how they might behave at a nice event and help them be prepared to have fun at this once a year activity.
BOUNCE AN SLIDE
Students who have met their accelerated reading (AR) goal can attend. The grades will go one at a time. Students need to have turned in their permission slips and have socks on in order to attend and play. The students will be riding the bus to the Bounce and Slide.
Help your students meet their goals by reading 20-30 minutes every night. Mix things up by having the read to you, read to them while they follow along or read as a family. We would love for every student to meet their goal!
