SNAG Golf

On Monday, we had some guest speakers from the golf course come to teach our 4th and 5th graders the fundamental principles of golf. They then discussed how these principles apply to real life. These principles include: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgement. The guest speakers also taught the students how to hold a golf club and they had fun practicing their swing.

Artcore

We are so excited for our Lights On event coming February 21st! Over the past few weeks, Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade have had the opportunity to work with artcore, a group of art students from USU. Artcore has helped them do different group art projects that will be put on display at the Lights On event. The children really enjoyed participating. Here are some pictures of Kindergarten sand painting!

Fun Park

This past Thursday, after school club went to the Fun Park for our end of the session field trip. The students were so excited! We were fortunate enough to be able to rent out the entire fun center, so the students were able to enjoy laser tag, billiards, bowling, soft play, and roller skating. Some students learned how to skate for the first time, and were pro by the end! It was a successful field trip and we have enjoyed having all of your children in after school club!

Field trip!

Today the third graders went on a field trip to Utah State University. We walked from our school, then went on a mini tour of campus. The teacher made a questionnaire where we got to answer questions about the university and think about what we want to do when we grow up. When we were walking around, we saw different statues and buildings. We even got to go inside the TSC and see what it is like. It was fun seeing campus and what college is like. Here are some pictures:

Welcome!

These last few weeks of ASC have been great! We have started off well and are having a great time getting to know all the students. This blog will be a place where you can see some of the different clubs and activities that we have going on at after school club. Last week, we had a guest speaker come with her service dog. She came and talked about service animals and some reasons why people might need one. She let them pet her dog and showed off some tricks as well. The students loved it!

A Visit From a Hero

Last week we had a visit from one of our local heroes. A police officer from the USU police department came to be our guest speaker. She spoke to us about about bicycle safety and stranger danger. The kids learned a lot about how they can be safe and have fun. They also had fun asking the police officer about her job and the things she does. Here are some pictures of the fun!

Season of Giving

We have been having so much fun during this season of giving. We always love the service opportunities that arise this time of year. Recently Our 4th and 5th graders had the fun opportunity to tie blankets for people that are in the hospital. The students had so much fun making them and we are sure the people recieving them will be very grateful. Here are some pictures of fun!
